My Pledge

I was standing as a candidate in the Uttar Pradesh elections. I solemnly pledge that India is my country. If elected I am responsible to provide stability, good fortune, happiness, satisfaction and peace to my country. I feel it is my spiritual duty to ensure progress for all sections of my society. I will keep working for my country thoughtfully, in a disciplined manner, with no self-interest and with humility. For the welfare of my country I am willing to sacrifice myself. That is my Oath to you, my beloved country.

I believe in secularism and respect the right of all people to have religious freedom and reject caste prejudices that are the bane of India. I recognize that if I am elected I have to deliver MeTRO (Measurable Time Bound Real Outcomes). I will involve the community with a team of advisors, monitors and youth and within 100 days of being elected put an annual plan up on the internet with three to five MeTRO's and the report monthly on each of these MeTRO's.

Mitigating corruption in my area will be a major priority for me. Just as malaria cannot be eradicated without prevention corruption cannot be eliminated without prevention. I will work with each government area to put corruption prevention plans in the public domain and will track their effectiveness to keep improving them.

If elected I will be at your service and live up to the trust you have reposed in me. I will not be addicted to my chair. I have heard that the public has started sending broken chappals to public servants who do not perform. I respect the power of the public. I will not give you the opportunity to send me broken chappals.

I request you to come out and vote. Let's have the highest turnout ever in Uttar Pradesh Elections. Do not sell your vote or vote based on intimidation, caste, religion. Vote for the candidate Who you think will deliver the best MeTRO.
